While Sagas and the E-RPG system were developed to give players unprecedented options for playing the game their way, we haven’t left you, the Game Master, out of the equation. Throughout the development of Sagas we made every effort to make the game as easily accessible as possible. Furthermore, we went to great lengths to make the system adaptable to your needs.
One of these efforts was in the basic rules. All of the rules surround the same Target Level System. This system allows for target levels to be developed on the fly, when needed, and still work easily within the game. You can feel confident that using Target Levels will provide a fair and balanced system, even when making rash decisions on the fly based on unforeseen character intentions. This basically minimizes, and indeed can completely negate, the need for you to look up rules while at the gaming table. That’s right, while playing you can put the books away.
The Sagas rules are best used for the planning of your adventures. The Game Master Lodestar, combined with any of the Player’s Guidebooks, are all you need to create your worlds. They include creation of creatures, npc’s equipment, and more. With a little preparation before hand you can have unique and dynamic adventures in a limitless world.
We also provide products unlike other RPG developers in the way of our Journal Series. In particular the Campaign Journal and the Campaign Atlas are two books that you can use to record, track, and organize the play of your games. Lastly, the Encounter Map or Tracker can also make your gaming experience more fluid, and more fun.
