Thank you for the support. It has been a very hard decision in both directions. However, I do feel much more secure knowing I can still be with my family. It may be a hard road for a while, but at least I will be taking it with them. Thank you again for your encouragement.

Right decision definitely. Not because the the RPG etc. But because of Your family! I can't imagine I could leave my family (2 years old girl and my wife) even for a month or so - not saying 4 years!
Thumbs up for You! ;)

Not yet. There is a forum I created for it that I am dumping in new info a I come up with it. One thing is that the release will only occur after I have at least enough adventures for each series as is required to complete the series, plus one-3 more. That way, everyone can hit the ground running with it. Luckily, by design, adventures will be easily and quickly created. There are also some personal life developments that I will cover in my next blog entry which I should have out by Friday that may or may not effect this.

I'm sorry to have heard about this this way. I know we don't share the same beliefs, but I believe that the operative word should be IS instead of WAS. Your grandfather is and shall continue to be a great man.

I, myself, have had the fortune of having met him in this life. My prayers are with the pain and sorrow of all your family. It might not be worth as much as it was one day, but tell them all that my family and I send our condolences.

It may be your job. However, you could have chosen to take any other job that pays better, and expects less. In my job, if I screw something up I might get a reprimand, maybe even a demotion or something. At the worst, I could be fired. The jobs of our soldiers, police, and firefighters have much worse consequences for bad days. These jobs could mean giving the ultimate sacrifice. Knowingly, and willingly, choosing a job that puts your life in danger to protect and help others is heroic.

For those that did not return, they are the heros' hero, and should be accorded that respect, and that is to say the highest.

Some would say "we were just doing our job"; we can appreciate the gratitude but don't feel particularly heroic. The true heroes are those who do not return.

[...] I have also had some talks with James concerning developments of his second adventure, a sequal to Prophecy. This story is shaping up nicely. I am drooling at the prospect of getting this onto my gaming table. The first adventure was a huge hit with my personal gaming group. The new plot developments happening now will take the story even further. The return of some key characters is also exciting. I can’t give away any details, but this is going to be something great! [...]

[...] Area_51 Games has submitted a review of our Fantasy Sagas Player’s Guidebook and the Game Master Lodestar at Gamywyrd.com. Gamewyrd praises the easy to use system as well as the style and layout of the manual. As far as we can see, the only weakness mentioned is the lack of a game world. However, as the writer attests, this is a “true universal system”. That’s no small feat in an industry where the actual existence of universal systems is very controversial (mostly such claims are regulated to “Generic”).
